Connect dibbed to Claude, ChatGPT or another AI assistant, then run your sign-ups by asking — “make a roster for Saturday's clean-up”, “who's still pending?”, “grab me a spot on this link”.
Other assistants
dibbed works with any assistant that supports remote MCP connectors with sign-in — for example Gemini (where available), Microsoft Copilot, Alexa+, Cursor and VS Code. Add the connector URL where the assistant lets you add a connector or MCP server, then sign in to dibbed and tap Allow.
Once your drops are live
“Who's signed up for the clean-up? Is anyone waiting for approval?”
“Approve Sam's dibs, and close the potluck sign-ups on Friday at 6pm.”
“Call dibs on this link for me: dibbed.app/d/k7m2qx”
“What volunteering is listed in Melbourne this week?”
Single item or roster?
Every drop is one of two kinds — the same two as in the app. Your assistant checks which one you want before it creates anything, and explains the choice for your event.
Single Item or Spot
One kind of thing, so many of them. People claim in one tap; once it's full, the rest join the waitlist.
Best for: Cakes or tickets for sale, gear to lend, “6 volunteers”, one shift to cover.
Try asking
“Make a single-item drop: 12 cheesecakes, $35 each, max 2 per person, pickup Saturday 2pm.”
“Single drop for 6 volunteers to set up the school fair, Saturday 8–11am.”
“I need one person to cover Friday's 4–10pm register shift. I'll approve who gets it.”
Multi-Item Roster
A list of different things, each with its own number of spots. People pick what they're taking. Items can have a description, a photo, their own limit, or no limit.
Best for: Potluck dishes, volunteer roles, named shifts (Mon / Tue / Wed), garage-sale items.
Try asking
“Make a roster for the beach clean-up: 4 drivers, 10 litter pickers, 2 first-aiders.”
“Potluck roster: 3 salads, 2 desserts, 4 drinks, unlimited “just coming”. Ask about allergies.”
“Roster for the garage sale: blue lamp $20, side table $40, kids' bike $35 — one each.”
Not sure? If people are all signing up for the same thing, it's a single item. If they're choosing between different things — dishes, roles, days — it's a roster.
Photos
After creating a drop, your assistant asks whether you'd like to add photos. Choose now and, in assistants that support it, a dibbed photo picker opens right in the chat — add cover photos or a photo for each item. Choose later and you get an edit link to add them from the dibbed app or website any time.
